What did you buy your crf?

I really wish ktm would field a 250 oil burner, please would go nuts over that!

CRF250L model 2017 Pic's and Info
Got my Eyes and Tape mesurment today at a 2017 Model .
It is in fact 40 mm lower then the 2013-2016 model .
And there are more changes.
The Fork is 40 mm shorter , must be internal depend the upper Fork Tubes are the same leng .
The Fork has also new Dust seals .
And a new Front axle with internal hex and is flush with the Fork now.
The Shock has now a black spring .
What seems to be harder then in the older model , two up (europen) the bike did not dive as much as my one with the stock spring .
The Dog Bone is 5 mm longer as on the older Model , what lower the rear end . Under the rear fender i messure also -40 mm to the stock 2014 model.
Could not messure the shock lengt.
Kickstand is shorter too.
And there are some more changes .
Dash has now a rev Counter .
Shifter now with a hinge.
But Break is still without one .
new Header and Muffler with much bigger Pipe diameter .
And the Lamda sensor is now in the Header next to the Oil Filler Cap and not in the CylinderHead Exhoust Port . The opening there is gone means new Head.
The new Lamda Probe is a different Type with more then one Wire and with the different location that means a different wirering loom and i guess
a new not compatible ECU . The ECU has also a new location (could not find it )
The black Plastic Part arount the Cooling Water expansion tank has now Cooling Air Slots for the Recifier and the space of the ECU on the 2013-2016 model is emty . Also the Bank angle sensor has a new position (behind the Horn ) means the subframe under the right shroud is different .
And a new Tail light .

99 RM250 CDI Plug
Will someone with a 99 RM250 upload a photo of the CDI and plug, Please. Fellow rider had a crash and it pulled 3 wires out of the plug to the CDI. He is having a hard time finding where the correct colored wires should be pushed back into the plug. He has a new CDI and does not want to just random plug the wires in and see if it starts. Doesn't want to fry his new box.

2009 Husqvarna TE 450
Last year I bought a 2009 husqvarna te 450. I was unaware of how much of a pain in the butt this bike would be to work on. Mechanics will not touch it and The closest Husky dealer says they don't won't either. Shortly after I bought the bike I learned that KTM bought out Husqvarna (go figure). About a month ago I went on a great ride at walker river. Enjoyed riding for 2 days the bike ran great. It had been trouble free for about a year. I brought it home, washed it and it would not start again. I have been through electrical connections to see if anything got wet during the wash. Wondering if anyone has experienced this? This bike is fuel injected and it is the duel sport.
Has anyone seen this before, broken crankcase maybe from lose chain
2012 WR450 Headlight Perm Removal
Hi all. I race scrambles and the guys keep making fun of my headlight. It hurts my feelings 8 ). Anyways the bike does not even have a shut off headlight switch it is always on. I would like to just take the thing off and put a MX plate on but I heard this can cause issues. Has anyone else out there removed their headlight? Is there a resistor or something that has to go in the plug?
Thanks,
Robert

Erratic Idle '14 450
So I have a '14 YZ 450 that has about 50 hours on it. The bike has a slight erratic idle such as going from 2500 RPM down to 1900 RPM's.
When you hit the throttle it runs fine with no popping and when you let it come back down from the high revs it drops pretty low to around 1700-1800 (sometimes stalls out) and then jumps back up to the normal RPM's and then begins to fluctuate.
There are no codes being thrown and I just checked the valves. I've also tried some different maps thinking that might be the cause but no difference.
Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this or if anyone has an idea on where to start.
08 250xcf carb issue
TRR 125 problems
1. The bike only runs on reserve.
2. The bike now only runs on choke after I cleaned the carburetor with carb cleaner (I will try and clean it again but with an air compressor)
3.The bike is also leaking from where the top end (is it the top end?) which connects to the exhaust (picture below). The leaking causes the bike to make white smoke from the beginning of the exhaust.

How do I fix all of that stuff?
Is KTM making the next gen DRZ?
Not much as far as any firm specs but the article hints at a bike that could be what Suzuki should have done with the DRZ instead of just BNG every year.

Please Help Me Understand My Electrical Test Results
Background: Bought the cyclops adventure sport LED headlight for my 06 WR450. It was nice and bright until I revved the motor over idle, then the light cut out. It would come back on as soon as the revs returned to idle speed lol. Never had a problem with a regular bulb, even a 55W H4 (converted to fit the H6M mount).
Talked to CAS, they said the LED bulb requires 11.2V DC to fire. Either my AC volts going into their rectifier isn't enough or I have bad grounds. Checked my ground situation (thanks for the help in my other thread) and everything looks good. So I began testing the electrical system using my FSM.
Voltage results:
Charging coil: 14-14.5 volts (FSM spec: 14.1-14.9V)
Lighting coil: 10.5-12 volts (FSM spec: 13-14V)
Resistance results*:
Charging coil: 2.1 ohm (FSM spec: .288-.432 ohm)
Lighting coil: 2.1 ohm (FSM spec: .224-.336 ohm)
*testing on 200 ohm setting, measured resistance of just my probes was .8 ohm.
Where I'm confused:
On my resistance results, do I need to subtract and move decimal places around? Or is my stator just garbage?
If my resistance results are what they are, or are even .8 less, it would be confusing to me that my charging voltage passes the test but the charging resistance fails. Is that possible? Following the FSM's steps, the charging system is good and I would stop investigating after the voltage check. If I go one step past that, that's the resistance test and my results are questionable.
On the AC lighting tests, I guess my coil is just dying based on the voltage test? I never thought of a stator as something that slowly stopped working. I always assumed it worked or it didn't. Do the coils get weak over time or something?
Bonus round: that said, if I need a new stator, do I just go for the TrailTech or Ricky Stator high output version, both of which come with a new R/R which will solve my problem one way or another? And if I'm understanding correctly it converts the entire bike to DC? So then I wouldn't need the Cyclops Adventure Sport rectifier anymore, which sucks because I haven't even used it but can't return it now. Or do I just get an OEM stator and ride out?
